I was reading Ecclesiastes this morning and the one thing I was pondering on more than anything was... wait for it...
VANITY
Of course, right away I started thinking of Barbra Mantinee from Veggie Tales, but then I continued to think about its meaning.
It has three.
1.) Excessive Pride over one's own appearance.
2.) The Quality of Being worthless or Futile
3.) A dressing table.
So pretty much, vanity is Looking into a mirror and Having too much Pride over your worthless self... No wonder it is so frowned upon in this book.
If you have vanity, you are pretty much Chasing the wind... (aka, nothing.)
