"All-American Staphon Arnold won the high jump at 6’ 8¾” and qualified for the NAIA long jump with a personal-best effort and winning leap of 23’ 5¼.” To complete the day, he competed in his first-ever triple jump and posted a fine mark of 45’ 5¾” to finish seventh overall. Arnold also ran the third led on the Cougars’ 4x100-meter relay that finished third with a 42.40."

Now here is how it went down from the beginning. I wake up at 7:30, go on a one on one with Kellie, get some Jamba, Go over to the track, warm up. Start out with 4x1, we didn't have Savidge because he was at Mt. Sac jumping, so we were waiting for Monti, but he didn't come in time so then we got Sato who did pretty well in my opinion, it was just different all around. Bad hand-off to Zach and we finish in 42.40 putting us in 4th.

Then long jump, was not expected, but I jumped 7.14m giving me my A mark AND putting me in the lead, meaning I won the Long Jump, super random, I was not expecting it.

Then High Jump. Came in at 2m, got it on my first attempt, same with 2.05, and stupidly I jumped again at 2.10, I should have just passed to 2.14, it would have been so much better taking attempts at that instead of the mark I already officially have, but I will not jump at 2.10 until nationals, period. So I got 1st with a 2.05 in that and figured I was done. Then Triple Jump came and I couldn't resist. Best jump was 13.88, with no second phase, and ended up being a rather good day. I was mostly excited that Ashley came to watch, even though I could not find her the whole time. And Alex came too, I got to explain to her what the events are which was also fun. All in all, a great day to be an Arnold.
And on top of that, I am sick... Still Sick... and am leaving in 2 minutes (7:50) to go on Day 1 of RA training, woot.
